Over the past 10 years Alex Aïnouz aka French Guy Cooking has been nothing short of a YouTube food legend! From Ramen to Pasta, and Fried Rice to Meatballs, his adventures and travels in food have been epic. At Orion, we’ve been incredibly proud to work with Alex and rest of the team helping shape his production and create some incredible YouTube videos.
Assembly Editing
Each episode begins with hours of raw footage, multiple camera angles, audio tracks, b-roll, and spontaneous moments captured by Alex in the kitchen. Our role is to transform this raw material into a structured first cut, shaping the backbone of the story. We identify the narrative arc, select the strongest takes, synchronise audio, and assemble the key visual elements that bring Alex’s creative vision to life.
This editorial groundwork sets the stage for the final polish. Once the assembly edit is complete, it’s handed off to the finishing editor (Josh Sadler), who adds the magic that makes Alex’s video feel so special. By streamlining this early phase of the post-production process, we help Alex and Josh stay focused on storytelling and production, while ensuring a consistent, high-quality output for his audience of over two million subscribers.
Sponsor integrations
In today’s creator economy, sponsorships are essential, and Alex’s partnership with brands is no exception. Our role is to ensure that sponsored segments within his videos are not just tolerated by viewers, but actively enjoyed.
We handle the complete sponsor integration process, taking raw ad-read footage and elevating it through thoughtful editing. This includes adding background music, motion graphics, sound effects, and visual cues that align with both Alex’s personal style and the brand’s messaging. The result is a seamless, engaging ad segment that feels like a natural extension of the video, keeping viewers entertained while delivering clear value to sponsors.
